Özyeğin University, or ÖzU, is a private university in Istanbul, Turkey. It was started in 2007 by the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation to offer modern education and help society grow. ÖzU focuses on being an entrepreneurial research university. This means it strongly emphasizes creating new ideas and using them to solve real-world problems that benefit people. Most classes are taught in English, making it popular with international students. Its main campus in Çekmeköy, Istanbul, is Turkey's first "green campus" because it's environmentally friendly.
