Overview
Kadir Has University (KHAS) is a private, non-profit university located in Istanbul, Turkey, established in 1997 by the late Turkish industrialist and philanthropist Kadir Has. Situated in the historic Fatih district by the Golden Horn, its main campus is a beautifully restored former tobacco factory, which even received the Europa Nostra Award for cultural heritage. The university is known for its strong emphasis on research and a unique project-based Core Program designed to equip first-year students with critical thinking and interdisciplinary skills. It aims to produce graduates who are well-rounded, innovative, and ready for the global job market. Kadir Has University offers a diverse range of programs across its faculties, including Engineering and Natural Sciences, Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Law, Communication, Art and Design, and Applied Sciences. Many of its programs are taught in English. The university actively participates in international exchange programs like Erasmus and focuses on industry collaboration to provide practical learning experiences.
